I love our kitchen and I want you to love yours, too! It’s one of the first places I visit in the morning and it helps to set the tone for the day. The aromas of freshly brewed coffee or tea, the visuals of timeless pieces in unexpected places, and with little personal touches here and there, you’ll find that the mood of your kitchen will match the mood of your mornings. So if you want to wake up and face the day with a pep in your step, here are some tips for you:
- It’s okay to be old fashioned. Sleek appliances and the “latest” in kitchen gadgets are great to have, but adding a few nostalgic pieces to your space will lend that cozy feel making your kitchen warm and inviting.
- Make it about you. If you’re a huge fan if golf, add a jar filled with golf balls. If you love the fall season, rake up some leaves and place them in vases. Remind yourself that this is what life is all about, the little things.
- Nurture yourself with timeless energy. Fill your Shangri-Las Vegas basin with silk flowers (snip off the top or blooms). Sink five candlesticks into the flowers and top with lit tapered candles. Be sure to keep away from flames since these are artificial.
- Brew flavored coffees or teas. Great scents stimulate the mind and make us happy. I personally love Don Francisco’s flavored coffee and their butterscotch toffee flavor is my favorite.
