What’s a nice girl like you doing on a tumultuous and drama-filled show like this? That’s what Wetpaint Entertainment wanted to know when they sat down with celebrity hypnotist, life-management expert, and reality TV co-star of TLC’s Sin City Rules, Kimberly Friedmutter.
Sin City Rules, the newest reality television series on TLC, follows the lives and interactions of six prominent Las Vegas careerwomen. Friedmutter, who’s married to world-renowned architect Brad Friedmutter, started appearing on the show beginning the fourth episode of the season. She has an impressive resume, including her career as a celebrity hypnotist and life-management expert, as well as her accomplishments in home decor and design.
Like the other women on the show, Friedmutter is quite successful in her professional endeavors and calls Las Vegas her home. In fact, Friedmutter, has an extraordinary home in Las Vegas, a 15, 000-square-foot mansion named Shangri-Las Vegas. But that is where the similarities end. When asked why she considered being on Sin City Rules, according to Friedmutter, she and Brad don’t like to waste opportunities:
“We really believe that you use it or you lose it. You have to keep your activity level high, and you have to run like the wind because it could be a still day one day. We’re always after fun, so if this felt like fun — and it did — we were game for it.”
However, if you are expecting to see Friedmutter partake in all of the drama brouhaha, you’ll be sorely disappointed. Friedmutter has no desire to contribute to any conflicts or dissension on the show. When asked about her feelings about Lana Fuchs, who’s been accused of being antagonistic towards some of the other cast members, Friedmutter stated that she has no issues with Ms. Fuchs:
“I personally don’t think there’s a problem with Lana, but I haven’t experienced a problem with her. When I say this to the other girls, they look at me like I have three heads. And that’s fair because their experience isn’t going to be the same as my experience.”
Friedmutter’s home, Shangri-Las Vegas, was featured in the fifth episode of Sin City Rules. Her expertise in sensory perception and interior design was seen by viewers worldwide and when asked about her “expect the exceptional” philosophy, Friedmutter explained that your home should be so much more than a house:
“When people walk into our home, there’s an overwhelming sense of reverence and sanctity. There always has been in my homes. Your home is your healing spot. It’s very important for you to be nurtured in that time at home in order to go back out to the proverbial war of the world. And you need to make it that.”
