The time had arrived to meet the first of my fellow Sin City Rules cast mates. I invited Lana Fuchs and Jennifer Harman to enjoy an intimate dinner in my home, Shangri-Las Vegas, and dish about the show, which was well within the stages of filming.
Of course I had heard rumors of drama and conflict already brewing on the show amongst the other girls; however, I was looking forward to meeting Lana and Jennifer. Confident and eager, I decided that welcoming them into my home was the perfect place to start our friendship.
After the show aired, I received many questions from viewers about Shangri-Las Vegas. “Is this how you always live?” someone asked. And the answer is…”YES!” As a life-management expert, I write inspirational articles and work with many clients in my practice. One thing I often call attention to is that their living space is not only a reflection of themselves, but also a vehicle to increase energy and vitality within the family and self.
“Expect the exceptional” is my motto, and creating an exceptional space at home can only lead to manifesting an exceptional life.
It’s important to me that guests at Shangri-Las Vegas not only feel welcome but are surrounded by comfort and warmth. I created a sensory environment so that when guests enter the front door, the aural experience should evoke an emotional response of enchantment, peace and vitality within them.
A copper basin of floating candles and flowers greets guests upon arriving to my home, while the scent of my specially designed Aromatherapy Essential Oil, aptly named Shangri-Las Vegas, follows my guests throughout the space relaxing them along the way. Much can be said about the behavioral response of certain scents in a space.
My husband, Brad, is a world-renowned architect and is responsible for much of the famous Las Vegas strip skyline. Through his vast knowledge of luxury hotels, I can tell you how much research goes into pumping scents, like vanilla, into the air in order to stimulate certain behaviors from their guests. Well, I have done my own research and I have to say that aromatherapy works. My scents, like sandalwood, lavender, and bergamot, help guests to relax and create a sense of well-being within them.
There’s plenty of drama and tension on Sin City Rules, so I planned it perfectly with Lana and Jennifer that evening. Our lovely dinner set the stage for a tranquil beginning and a smooth road for what lies ahead. Let’s hope it stays that way.
